High Quality Roundwood Products For Delivery Throughout The North Island

Roundwood New Zealand takes pride in providing consistently high quality products into the Market. We comply with strict Quality Control measures both internally and externally, conforming to the relevant New Zealand Standards (NZS) on all our Roundwood Products produced onsite.
Post Products (Rounds, Half Rounds, Quarter Rounds and Strainer Posts) are produced in accordance with NZS3607. They are graded internally for straightness; uniformity and sizing to ensure the required specifications are met. (SEE ROUNDWOOD PRODUCTS PAGE)

Construction Poles

All Construction Poles, including Un-Peeled “UGLIES” are produced in accordance with NZS3605. They are graded internally for straightness, uniformity and sizing to ensure the required SED (small end diameter) measurement is met. (SEE SED CONSTRUCTION POLES PAGE)

Chemical Treatment Process

The Chemical Treatment Process conforms to the strict procedures outlined in NZS3640:2003. We are also continually assessed and audited by Bereau Veritas. Our Chemical Provider, Arxada, also assigns their Technical Representative to Bi-weekly audit our Wood Preservative Treating Operation. (SEE TREATMENT HAZARD CLASS PAGE)
At the completion of every Treatment Charge the uptake of chemical is measured against the target uptake level. Sample borings are taken at designated Treatment Charge intervals to measure the penetration and retention of chemical achieved in that specific charge. 
These boring samples are then sent to an Independent Laboratory for analysis to measure chemical loading (retention) and penetration of chemical into the Treated Product.
All H6 Marine Treatment charges have boring samples sent away for Independent analysis. These Charges are not released until the results are returned showing they have passed the chemical loadings (retention) and penetration requirements for H6 Marine. (SEE H6 MARINE HAZARD CLASS POLES)
